St. Petersburg State Budgetary Institution "City Center for Social Programs and Prevention of Antisocial Phenomena among Young People "CONTACT"
About the organization
The history of the Contact Center began in 1995 with the Street Social Work Service within the framework of the St. Petersburg Target Program "Family Policy. Social Protection of Family and Childhood." Today, this service has been renamed the Street Preventive Work Department and is one of the center's key programs.
In the late 90s, the Street Social Work Service actively helped children and teenagers of St. Petersburg who found themselves in a difficult life situation: street children, juvenile delinquents, children from maladjusted families, informals and many others. The main task of the Center was to create an effective network of organizations and specialists to implement programs for the prevention of antisocial phenomena among young people and identify conditions that contribute to the development of deviant behavior in children, teenagers and young people of the city.
Today, this network has been created and is successfully operating in 18 districts of St. Petersburg. Every year, specialists and volunteers of the CONTACT Center help thousands of children adapt to a difficult life and choose the right path - the creative path of a healthy lifestyle, friendship, love and family values.
For city specialists, the CONTACT Center is an organizational, methodological, informational and analytical center that generates innovative programs for the prevention of antisocial behavior among young people and implements them in St. Petersburg.
