Department of Sociology and Organization of Youth Work of the National Research University "BelSU"
About the organization
The department was founded in 2009. The management and staff of the department place special emphasis on work and cooperation with students. Students of the department take an active part in public and scientific life not only of the university, defending the honor of the department at conferences, forums and debates, but also in the implementation of the youth policy of the Belgorod region, through participation in actions, forums, and volunteer activities.
The department conducts training in the following areas:
- Bachelor's degree: "Sociology" (profile "Sociological and marketing research"), "Sociology" (profile "Social engineering"), "Organization of youth work";
- Master's degree: "Sociology" (program "Sociology of management"), "Organization of youth work" (program "Management in the field of youth policy").
In order to increase the prestige of the department, increase the level of educational programs, intensify student and faculty exchange programs, both existing relations with foreign partners and the conclusion of new cooperation agreements with leading scientific and educational institutions of the near and far abroad are expanding. Thus, cooperation is underway with Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.
Students of the department participate in the activities of the International Center for Sociological Research, which is a structural unit of the university. The Center conducts research on the following topics: social strategies of youth, social capital of Russian regions;,systemic sociology and social engineering, transdisciplinary research in social theory.
