Biography
Yulia Zubok is an employee of the Institute of Sociology of the Federal Research Sociological Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences (Deputy Director for Scientific Work). She is also the head of the Center for Youth Sociology at the Institute of Socio-Political Studies of the Federal National Research Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
In 1993 she graduated from the History Department of Kharkiv State University.
In 2003 she defended doctoral dissertation on the topic "Risk as a factor in the social development of youth".
Y. Zubok's research interests include theoretical problems of youth sociology, social development of youth, factors of uncertainty and risk in youth development, specifically youth conflicts and social exclusion of youth.
She is one of the authors of the riskological concept of youth, the concepts of youth extremism, social regulation and self-regulation in a changing social reality.
