In 1922, on May 19, the All-Union Pioneer Organization named after Vladimir Lenin was founded. On this day the resolution "Children's Movement" was adopted at the II All-Russian Komsomol Conference.
The pioneer organization was created as an addition to the Komsomol – the All-Union Leninist Young Communist League. This union played a huge role in the education of boys and girls in the USSR.
On this holiday we would like to tell you about the modern pioneer movement in the Republic of Belarus. The Belarusian Republican Pioneer Organization (BRPO) was founded in 1990. It continues the traditions of the All-Union Pioneer Organization named after Vladimir Lenin. At the moment the BRPO is one of the largest children's associations in the country.
Our library has a collection of BRPO documents. It includes methodological recommendations on the organization of the activities of pioneer detachments, regulations on various competitions, projects, promotions, and games.
The collection also contains an edition of the state institution of additional education "Polotsk Regional Center for Children and Youth" on the topic of pioneer management.
You can view the contents of the collection at the link.
