We congratulate our subscribers and colleagues from the Republic of Belarus on this annual holiday. It has been held since 1998 on the last Sunday of June.
On June 25, 2021, President Alexander Lukashenko signed a decree according to which the holiday was renamed from Youth Day to Youth and Students' Day. Such a change contributes to the improvement of the status of students and their role in the socio-political life of Belarus. Also, the shift in emphasis in the name of the holiday helps to unite student and working youth based on the best traditions of the continuity of youth movements.
