The Child Friendly Cities are localities where children and young people have the opportunity to develop comprehensively and actively participate in public life. The international initiative of the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) is aimed at improving the situation of children and youth in cities.

The initiative was launched in 1996 in response to resolutions adopted during the Second United Nations Conference on Human Settlements (Habitat II).

The project is being implemented in different regions of the world, including the CIS. From our material you will learn how it is implemented in the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Uzbekistan.
