II International Youth Forum of the CIS Member States on the Sustainable Development Goals

These days Moscow is hosting a forum dedicated to the development of cooperation and the unification of youth in the CIS to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The forum is organized by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, the National Youth Council of Russia and RTU MIREA, which performs the functions of the basic organization of the CIS Member States for working with youth, with the support of the Council for Youth Affairs of the CIS Member States.

The event is part of the Action Plan for 2023-2024 for the implementation of the Strategy of International Youth Cooperation of the CIS Member States for 2021-2030.

The SDGs were defined in the resolution "Transforming our World: The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development" of the UN General Assembly in 2015. There are 17 SDGs in total. Their achievement is aimed at meeting human needs while preserving the environment and resources.
