January 25 – Students’ Day

Today the Russian Federation celebrates Students’ Day (Tatyana’s Day). Congratulations to students, teachers and everyone involved in this holiday!

The holiday was established in accordance with the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation No. 76 of January 25, 2005. In 2007 the day was included in the list of memorable dates of Russia. The history of the holiday is closely connected with the history of Lomonosov Moscow State University. The educational institution – one of the largest modern Russian universities – was founded on January 25, 1755.

For this day we present the documents of the Institute for the Study of Childhood, Family and Upbringing of the Russian Academy of Education, the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs (Rosmolodyozh) and the All-Russian Public Organization "Russian Union of Youth" on the topic:
