The conference is dedicated to issues of global information exchange, the influence of libraries on the development of science, culture and education.
It will be attended by employees of national, public libraries and educational institutions from 20 countries of three continents: Eurasia, Africa and South America.
Several reports will be presented by specialists from Belarus, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan and Armenia. From these presentations one can get an idea of the trends in librarianship in the CIS.
In their reports participants consider libraries as dynamically developing institutions that actively introduce innovations into their work, facilitate the development of science and education, promote environmental education, work with the topics of inclusion and socio-cultural development.
The conference will be broadcast on November 15 at 12.00 Moscow time. The organizer of the event is the National Library of Russia.
