02.11.2022

New analytical reference from the electronic library.

Indexes are one of the main tools for assessing the situation of young people as well as monitoring the processes taking place in youth environment.

There are both international (global) indices and national ones which are calculated on the basis of world experience. Data on Member States of the Commonwealth of Independent States are included in most of the international indices.

In the Commonwealth space national indicators are also being developed, the measurement of which is based on key areas of implementation of youth policy in countries. The CIS Member States supplement and adapt international indices taking into account national characteristics.

In a new analytical report the staff of our library reviewed the experience of the CIS Member States in developing indices of wellbeing and development of youth. It also provides brief descriptions of the methods for calculating such indices.
