The XI Russian-Belarusian Youth Forum is taking place these days in Kaliningrad. In connection with this event, we want to tell you about the formats of youth cooperation between the two countries.
Over the years many projects have been implemented, new organizations have been created, including:
International Union of Public Associations "Russian-Belarusian Youth Union"
It is a union of the All-Russian public organization "Russian Union of Youth" and the public association "Belarusian Republican Youth Union". The Russian-Belarusian Youth Union has been operating on the territory of the two states since 2002. He implements such projects as the International Youth Camp "Be-La-Rus", the Festival "Youth – for the Union State", etc.
Forum of Regions of Russia and Belarus
The event is supported by the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation and the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus. The main purpose of the forum is to strengthen trade, economic, scientific, educational and cultural ties between the two states.
Project activities of RST and BRYU
Since 2013 the Belarusian Republican Youth Union has been cooperating with the Youth All-Russian public organization "Russian Students’ Teams" (RST). In 2018 the first Meeting of student groups of Russia and Belarus "Youth builds a Union" took place. There are consolidated Belarusian-Russian students’ teams. Such a detachment, for example, participated in the construction of the Belarusian nuclear power plant (Ostrovetsky district of the Grodno Region of Belarus).
Youth Chamber at the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union of Belarus and Russia
In 2017 the Youth Chamber was formed at the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union of Belarus and Russia. It was created with the aim of involving young people in the process of regional integration – the construction of a Union State.
