On December 12, Astrakhan hosted the solemn opening ceremony of the Russian-Kazakhstan Youth Forum.
The forum attended by representatives of youth public organizations, young leaders, students, specialists in the field of digitalization and youth entrepreneurship, representatives of structures implementing youth policy in our states.
The key purposes of the event dedicated to the new economy and youth entrepreneurship are the strengthening of cooperation between youth of two countries, the exchange of experience between young people and the search for new topics for joint initiatives.
The participants were welcomed by the Deputy Director of the Department of State Youth Policy and Educational Activities of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation Olga Negrova, the Minister of Education and Science of the Astrakhan Region Yegor Ugarov, the Chairman of the Committee for Youth and Family Affairs of the Ministry of Information and Social Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kairat Baimuldinov, the Consul General of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Astrakhan Ardak Madiev, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Russia to the Republic of Kazakhstan Alexei Borodavkin and the rector of Astrakhan State University Konstantin Markelov.
The Chairman of the National Youth Council of Russia Grigory Petushkov addressed the forum delegates via video link. He noted the Russian-Kazakh youth cooperation is progressively developing.
"As you know, young people in Russia and Kazakhstan are characterized by a desire for self-realization, a goal-oriented tendency and healthy ambition. Therefore, together we can do a lot," Grigory Petushkov emphasized.
The forum program includes plenary sessions "Modern challenges and prospects for the development of youth innovative entrepreneurship in Russia and Kazakhstan" and "New economy: the potential of youth entrepreneurship", master classes, lectures and workshops.
The organizers of the forum are the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, RTU MIREA – the basic organization of the CIS Member States for working with youth, the Information and Analytical Center for the Study of Socio-Political Processes in the Post-Soviet Space, the Astrakhan State University and the National Youth Council of Russia.
