Today we are telling you about our partners from the Northern capital — the CONTACT Center. (https://profcenter.spb.ru/)
History of creation
Its history began in 1995 with the Street Social Work Service within the framework of the St. Petersburg Target Program “Family Policy. Social Protection of Family and Childhood”. Today, this service has been renamed the Street Preventive Work Department and is one of the center’s key programs.
Help for children and adolescents
In the late 90s, the Street Social Work Service actively helped children and adolescents who found themselves in difficult life situations: street children, children from dysfunctional families, juvenile delinquents and representatives of youth subcultures.
Today
Over 30 years of operation, the Center has expanded its activities. Its branches successfully operate in 18 districts of St. Petersburg. Every year, the center's specialists and volunteers help thousands of children and teenagers adapt to life, choosing a healthy lifestyle based on the values of friendship, love and family traditions.
Mission
The main objective of the CONTACT Center is to create a network of organizations and specialists to prevent antisocial phenomena among young people and identify factors that contribute to deviant behavior.
