The call for applications for the Andrey Gromyko Competition for young CIS international relations specialists is open

The competition is aimed at expanding the dialogue of young specialists, researchers and diplomats as well as enhancing the interaction of research and educational institutions of the CIS and EAEU countries.

The organizers of the competition are the Andrey Gromyko Association of Foreign Policy Studies, the Institute of Europe of the Russian Academy of Sciences, and the Academy of Public Administration under the aegis of the President of the Republic of Belarus. 

Students and graduates of higher educational institutions, postgraduates, young scientists, young diplomats, business professionals, representatives of public organizations, journalists, political scientists, economists, historians, sociologists, philosophers and lawyers can take part in the competition. 

Original unpublished scientific articles and analytical notes written independently by one or more authors (no more than 30 thousand characters) devoted to the study of the following topics are accepted: 

- Modern international relations and integration projects in the post-Soviet space: Union State of Belarus and Russia, EAEU, CIS, CSTO;

- Risks of conflicts and instruments for strengthening collective security in the Eurasian region;

- After the pandemic: national challenges and integrational solutions;

- The Great Patriotic War in the history of international relations: problems of preservation and distortion of historical memory;

- Cultural and educational links as a resource for building integration;

- The diplomatic legacy of Andrey Gromyko;

- The United Nations' role, its past and future in the system of international relations;

- Historical foundations of Russian-Belarusian unity (dedicated to the Year of Historical Memory in the Republic of Belarus);

- Sanctions as a tool of geopolitics: problems of legitimacy and methods of counteraction;

- Problems of interference in the internal affairs of sovereign states in the CIS space. 

To participate in the competition you must submit an application via an electronic form containing the participant's questionnaire and the work itself. The deadline for accepting applications is 23:59 on May 12, 2022. 

The competition has been held annually since 2018. In four years it has brought together more than 1100 young scientists from 11 countries. Detailed information can be found on the official website of the competition
