Today, at a regular meeting of the standing commission on social policy and human rights of the IPA CIS, Deputy Director of the Institute of Youth Policy and International Relations of the RTU MIREA (the basic organization of the CIS member states for work with youth) Victoria Olinchuk made a report "On the draft Glossary of Terms and Concepts in the Field of Youth Policy in the CIS".
At the meeting, it was decided to approve the draft document as a whole and instruct the chairman of the commission to present the Glossary at the plenary meeting of the IPA CIS this fall.
The purpose of creating the Glossary is to systematize the conceptual apparatus in the field of youth policy in the CIS.
The document was prepared on the basis of the model legislation of the Interparliamentary Assembly of the CIS Member States and the national legislation of the CIS member states related to youth.
Let us recall that the Glossary project was developed by the Electronic Library “Youth of the COMMONWEALTH” in 2024 jointly with the IPA CIS. The initiative to create the Glossary was supported by the Youth Council of the CIS Member States (Protocol of decisions of the Youth Council of the CIS Member States dated 24-25.11.2022, clause 8.3) and the Youth Interparliamentary Assembly of the CIS Member States (Resolution of the IPA CIS No. 20-5 dated 16.03.2023).
The Glossary is intended to facilitate the development of an educational and methodological base for various categories of users, primarily for researchers dealing with youth issues.
Systematized terminology in the field of youth policy can also be useful for the work of government bodies in the development and evaluation of regulatory legal acts.
