A charity event to help schoolchildren and students of the Kyrgyz Republic has been launched

25.02.2022

The charity event is aimed at supporting Russian schools experiencing a shortage of study materials in Russian and a lack of technical equipment.

It is timed to coincide with the International Book Giving Day celebrated on February 14. The charitable action was initiated by the Expert Council on International Affairs of the Youth Parliament under the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation.

"The issue of the lack of educational and methodological materials is acute. State and near-state institutions are doing a lot to solve the problem but the help of public figures has never been superfluous. The symbiosis of these efforts will allow to preserve the fundamental character of the Russian language in the post-Soviet area. We call on all those who are not indifferent to join the action and make their contribution," says Elena Erakina, Chairman of the Expert Council on International Affairs of the Youth Parliament under the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation.

Educational institutions to which the assistance will be sent are working closely with the Russian house in Osh. Special attention is paid to familiarizing students of these institutions with the long-term interaction and active humanitarian cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Russia.

Individuals and legal entities can take part in the charity event. Among the possible items to assist are:

- textbooks, fiction and methodological literature, dictionaries for replenishment of the library fund;

- interactive whiteboards, projectors, sets of the 8th generation personal computers, photocopiers and other office machines for the learning process.
