This analytical bulletin includes materials from the round table meeting of the Coordinating Council for Social Strategy under the Chairman of the Federation Council. This meeting was held in the Federation Council on November 14, 2008. Materials of the compilation are devoted to summing up the results of the Russian-Finnish project for the protection of children's rights in Europe and Russia in 2004-2007. The project was aimed at developing child protection in the Russian Federation and the Republic of Karelia. In particular, within the framework of the project preparatory work was carried out for the signing and ratification of the European Social Charter by the Russian Federation. The bulletin contains the greeting from the Chairman of the Federation Council S.M. Mironov to the participants of the round table as well as speeches by the working group of this project from the Russian side and the Coordinating Council for Social Strategy under the Chairman of the Federation Council.
