Annotation
The concept of long-term socio-economic development of the Russian Federation for the period up to 2020 determines the ways and means of ensuring in the long term (2008-2020) the sustainable increase in the well-being of Russian citizens, national security, dynamic economic development, strengthening Russia's position in the world community. In this concept Item III.9 is devoted to youth policy in the Russian Federation. According to the Concept, the goal of state youth policy is to create conditions for the successful socialization and effective self-realization of young people, the development of the potential of young people and its use in the interests of the country's innovative development. The goal is to be achieved through three tasks. The first task is to involve young people in social practice and create potential opportunities for self-development, providing support for the scientific, creative and entrepreneurial activity of young people. The second task is to form the integral system of support for young people with leadership skills, initiative and talented youth. The third task is civic education and patriotic education of youth, assistance in the formation of legal, cultural and moral values among young people. The Concept states specific ways of accomplishing these tasks.
