Among the employed population the number of hired workers was 355,500, or 84.7%, and 64,300, or 15.3%, were self-employed. Of the total employed population there are 216,000 men, or more than half, and 203,800 women (48.5%). In the structure of the employed the main share 83.5% was made up of persons aged 25-54 years, 5.7% – young people aged 15-24 years, 10.5% – 55-64 years and 0.3% – 65 years and over.
