In 2019 the number of people in the labour force aged 15 years and above was 986.6 thousand. In the total labour force women accounted for 515.2 thousand people (52.2%). The share of the labour force was formed in 68.7%. In the economy of the city 936.5 thousand people were employed. The employment to labour force ratio reached 94.9%. The number of unemployed people in 2019 was 50 thousand.
