In 2022 the labour force aged 15 and over reached 9.4 million. In the total labour force, the urban population accounted for 5.8 million people (61.3%), women – 4.5 million people (48.2%). Nine million people were employed in the country's economy. The employment rate for the labour force reached 95.1%, and for the population aged 15 and over –65.3%.
