Annotation
The updated Lisbon + 21 Declaration on Youth Policy and Programmes based on Agenda 2030 was adopted following results of the World Conference of Ministers for Youth. The Declaration states principles and directions of action that the Youth Ministers and Youth Delegates commit themselves to implement. It promotes a rights-based approach to youth policies and programmes. It was noted that the 2019 Conference assessed progress in the field of youth policy since 1998 in the context of the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals. Governments and delegates from international organizations presented reports on national efforts to implement the Lisbon Declaration for youth.
