Today, under the rubric "Departments of Organization of Youth Work", we talk about our partners from the Northern (Arctic) Federal University named after M. V. Lomonosov.
The Department of Social Work was established on November 18, 1997. It was one of the first in Russia to start training specialists in social work. The correspondence department was opened, and in 1998 – the Department of psychology. The specialty "Organization of youth work" appeared at the department in 2007. 14 students were enrolled in the first year. The faculty was the first in the region to train specialists in this field. In 2012 the Department of Social Work became part of the Institute of Integrated Security of the NarFU and was renamed the Department of Social Work and Social Security.

39.04.02 Social work, Master's program "Social work with various groups of the population".
Over 20 years of the department's activity, more than 30 major projects have been implemented.

"This event has been held for the second year in the framework of the discipline "Sociology of Youth" under the guidance of our teacher – Anna Fedulova. Within the framework of it, 2nd year students from the areas of "Organization of youth work" and "Social work" develop and present their group studies on the topics most interesting to them in turn, first the guys from social work to us, and then we to social work. According to the results of the event, the winners in the nominations "Best Group" and "Audience Award" are determined".
"The working title of the dissertation is "Transformation of youth media consumption in a digital environment." It is fascinating to study how thinking and lifestyle have been changing under the influence of the often even forced use and widespread introduction of completely different forms of "media". How young people rebuild their consciousness, values, and consumer behavior in relation to content in the conditions of constantly surrounding digital devices.
