In the study a comparative analysis of full-time and part-time students is carried out. There are the conclusions that during status distribution "correspondence students" are inferior in the share of those employed as highly qualified specialists, while with a very slight advantage "correspondence students" have more subjective positive assessments of their work. The indicators of "correspondence students" and "full-time students" are also very close in the distribution of ideas about their place in individual social hierarchies.
