Objective and subjective factors in the formation of personal plans and real life paths of secondary school graduates are considered. The influence of factors of both general (first) order (type of economy, the impact of demographic processes, transformation of education, state of the labour market) and second order (place of residence, status of parents, gender of respondents, etc.) on the orientations and actual behaviour of young people are taken into account.
