Annotation

The authors come to the conclusion that the availability of independent travel for children is influenced by the socioeconomic status of the family, the number of children, their gender, age, and parents’ subjective assessment of their psychological maturity. The empirical evidence confirms that different forms of parental control, behavioral and manipulative, have different effects on the child development.
