Annotation
The article considers the key foundations of modern sociology of childhood based on the works of foreign and domestic sociologists of childhood. It is stressed that both foreign and domestic scientists are moving in the same direction, namely searching for optimal ways to realise the interests of children in the sociological practice of childhood research.
