Annotation

The Strategy for International Youth Cooperation of the CIS Member States for the period up to 2020 approves the conceptual foundations for the development of international youth cooperation in the CIS. The Strategy presents the set of coordinated approaches of the CIS Member States to the main goals, objectives, directions, principles, forms and mechanisms for the development of youth relations in the CIS. This Strategy is based on the notion that youth cooperation is the most important factor in ensuring sustainable, effective socio-economic development and scientific and technological progress of the CIS Member States and the Commonwealth as a whole. The document also states that youth cooperation facilitates the preservation and deepening of friendly relations between the CIS Member States. In addition, youth cooperation is designed to help increase their competitiveness in the context of globalization, and it is one of the most promising forms of the integration partnership.
