Annotation
The Charter provides precise directions for activities that municipalities and other territorial units commit themselves to pursue in order to increase the participation of young people there. There are such areas as leisure activities and associations, youth employment and the fight against unemployment, housing and urban planning policies, education and training policies that promote youth participation in communal life, youth mobility policies as a means to achieve more economic growth and others. The Charter also highlights institutions that promote the participation of young people in the life of municipal and regional entities. Municipalities and other regional entities are expected to engage themselves to establish and promote such institutions.
