Annotation

The author of the article examines the terms "children", "teenagers" and "youth" in Russian legislation and the problems of their use. Thus, the author draws attention to the fact that the term "children" is very common in the legislation as well as people whose age is from 14 to 30 years are recognized as “youth.” Speaking about the unified legal definition of the age limits of youth, the author opposes lowering the age limit to 25. In conclusion, the author advocates a clear age distinction and rules for using the mentioned terms.
