The methodology and technology for creating a scientific and applied thesaurus for specialists in the field of childhood are presented. During the analysis of available reference sources the author comes to the conclusion that it is necessary to move towards the creation of meta-subject knowledge and the search for methods to achieve this goal. The thesaurus itself will be useful to a wide range of people, for example, officials, psychologists, teachers, lawyers, ombudsmen for children's rights and everyone whose activities are in one way or another connected with the children's community.
